 STORE PROMOTES
"NOT VACCINATED" PATCH
STYLED ON
NAZI INFAMOUS
"JUDEN" STAR
By
Søren Nielsen
2021

The store, "hatWRKS", took to Instagram on Friday to promote the new item, which carries the words "Not vaccinated" and is designed around the Nazis’ infamous "Juden" star, perhaps one of the most widely known symbols of the Holocaust.

While the post has since been deleted, screenshots quickly made the rounds online, prompting a torrent of condemnation for the shop and its owner, Gigi Gaskins, who was apparently featured in the Instagram missive sporting the yellow patch.

Activists have used the Star of David badge as an anti-vaccine symbol since well before the Covid-19 outbreak, repeatedly drawing condemnation from Jewish and Holocaust memorial groups.

The fad has carried on more recently as well, with anti-lockdown protesters in London seen wearing the yellow stars just last month.

Earlier this week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) made waves after comparing workplace vaccine requirements to the Nazi star – comments slammed by fellow Republicans, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy

"Marjorie is wrong, and her intentional decision to compare the horrors of the Holocaust with wearing masks is appalling," he said in a statement.

Noticing the growing trend, the Unired States Holocaust Memorial Museum issued an open letter on Friday, urging Americans to stop making the comparison.

It read: "We also watch with great dismay a persistent and increasing tendency in American public life to invoke the Holocaust for the purpose of promoting another agenda."

It is deeply painful for us to see our personal history – the systematic destruction of our families and communities and murder of six million Jewish, (which is a lie) men, women, and children – exploited in this way.

GENERAL FLYNN BELIEVES
COVID WAS A
WEAPONIZED OPERATION
BY CHINA
By
Søren Nielsen
2021

President Trump‘s former national security advisor Michael Flynn commented on the renewed focus on the theory that the coronavirus came from a lab in Wuhan, saying that he believes it was a "weaponised operation".

"We’ve had over a year of people all over the world having to answer tough questions," Flynn said.

The three star general continued "The people in this country are demanding answers. I believe we what we are going to find out is that this was a weaponized operation by the nation of China with some collaboration… with other countries."

While Flynn suggested that the outbreak was "some kind of attack," he also stated that it could have "occurred mistakenly because of poor operational conditions inside these laboratories in China."

He also made it clear that he believes COVID is a real virus, and many older people have really died from it, countering leftist mainstream media claims that he believes the entire pandemic is completely "staged".

"We must demand from our government to know exactly what happened," Flynn urged, adding that "we’ve had the entire country and the entire world shut down, people have lost their livelihoods and businesses… this has caused a massive shift in our entire society."

"The people of this country are not going to stand for just continuing to go down this road of these falsehoods and these lies about the origins of COVID," Flynn asserted.

The lab leak theory has gained traction once again after a previously unseen US intelligence report revealed that at least three researchers working at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where coronavirus experiments were being conducted, were hospitalised in mid November 2019 with symptoms matching those of COVID.

Commenting on the revelations, David Asher, the State Department’s former lead investigator on the origins of the virus said it is "very doubtful that three people in highly protected circumstances" all became sick with "severe conditions all in the same week, and it didn’t have anything to do with the coronavirus."

Asher has previously said that the intelligence points to an involvement of the Chinese military conducting bioweapons research at the lab.

Previous reports have suggested that the Wuhan Institute took a shipment of some of the world’s deadliest pathogens just weeks before the outbreak of the coronavirus

It is also known that the lab was tampering with natural pathogens and mutating them to become more infectious through "gain of function" research.

This is the "weaponisation" that General Flynn is referring to.

A deadly virus leak from a Chinese lab is not unprecedented.

The SARS virus escaped twice from the Chinese Institute of Virology in Beijing in 2004, one year after its spread was brought under control.

Flynn previously urged that there needs to be further analysis of previous government pandemic "exercises" that almost completely match what unfolded with the coronavirus.

The unexamined evidence consists of "databases of Chinese communications, the movement of lab workers and the pattern of the outbreak of the disease around the city of Wuhan," according to General Flynn.

We are also leaning on America’s allies to produce similar evidence following the revelation, provided to the U.S. by one such ally, that three lab workers got sick and had to be hospitalized from COVID-19 symptoms in November 2019, two months before China was still telling the WHO there was no "human to human transmission" of the virus.

According to President Trump‘s former national security advisor Michael Flynn, COVID-19 "was a weaponized operation by the nation of China with some collaborationwith other countries."

 ROCKEFELLER FOUNDATION
PREDICTED
COVID-19 IN 2010
By

2010 Rockefeller "Lock Step" Document Coming To Life Right Now. Time To Wake Up.

The report titled Scenarios for the Future of Technology and International Development has a stated goal of creating "a world of tighter top-down government control and more authoritarian leadership, with limited innovation and growing citizen pushback."

"A world in which highly coordinated and successful strategies emerge for addressing both urgent and entrenched worldwide issues… An economically unstable and shock-prone world in which governments weaken, criminals thrive, and dangerous innovations emerge… An economically depressed world in which individuals and communities develop localized, makeshift solutions to a growing set of problems."

Although the authors of the paper try to claim they are just imagining not predicting the future, given the immense role of the Rockefeller family bloodline and Rockefeller Foundation in pushing the New World Order (NWO) Global Government, this is a ruse to cover their active planning for crisis scenarios that they know will happen.

It is also a fine example of predictive programming.

In actuality, they are blueprints written by key insiders who already know the game plan and the agenda, and have the power to make it happen.

This document expresses 4 scenarios:

1Lock Step -- Tighter Top Down Government Control and Growing Citizen Pushback.

2Hack Attack --- Unstable Shock Prone World In Which Criminals Thrive.

3Smart Scramble -- Economically Depressed World With Make Shift Solution To Ever Growing Problems.

4Clever Together -- A Highly Coordinated Global Government Where Successful Strategies For Solving All Problems Emerges.

The scenario "Lock Step", one of four included in a publication called "Scenarios for the Future of Technology and International Development" in 2010, describes a coronavirus-like pandemic that becomes the trigger for the imposition of police-state controls on movement, economy, and other areas of society.

Remove such obstacles as "individual rights" and you have a recipe for surviving, even thriving in the event of a pandemic, the Foundation states. (remember, this was written in 2010):

"A few countries did fare better – China in particular. The Chinese government’s quick imposition and enforcement of mandatory quarantine for all citizens, as well as its instant and near-hermetic sealing-off of all borders, saved millions of lives, stopping the spread of the virus far earlier than in other countries and enabling a swifter post-pandemic recovery."

The message is clear – police state good, freedom bad. And other governments rapidly get the message, according to the simulation.

First and third world nations alike follow suit by "flexing their authority" and imposing quarantines, body-temperature checks, and other "airtight rules and restrictions" – most of which, the report is careful to note, remain in place even as the pandemic recedes into the past.

"In order to protect themselves from the spread of increasingly global problems – from pandemics and transnational terrorism to environmental crises and rising poverty – leaders around the world took a firmer grip on power."

This global power-grab is facilitated by a frightened citizenry who "willingly gave up some of their sovereignty – and their privacy – to more paternalistic states in exchange for greater safety and stability…tolerant, and even eager, for top-down direction and oversight."

Everything from tighter biometric identification to stricter industrial regulation is welcomed with open arms.

It takes over a decade for people to "grow weary" of the authoritarian controls imposed in the wake of the pandemic, and hints that even the civil unrest that ultimately manifests is focused on the developed world.

After all, a popular uprising in the technocratic police state envisioned by the simulation would be all but impossible – as it will be in real life once 5G makes real-time total surveillance of all cities a reality.

Just as many scientists concluded SARS was a manmade bioweapon, many scientists, statesmen, and alternative media, have raised the alarm about coronavirus

Good luck finding any of their statements on Google, however. Facebook, Youtube and Twitter have been hard at work removing coronavirus "rumors," and Google has memory-holed hundreds of search results regarding Chinese accusations of biowarfare

"I am not saying this is or is not true. I just find it interesting that you can not find ANY of this information online anymore. Don't you find that odd?".

Remember, this document is looking at a future scenario from its publish date of 2010, which was ten years ago.

The Rockefeller Foundation paints a disturbing picture, a future pandemic that kills 8 million people in just 7 months.

Looking at the present, the Coronavirus has not killed anywhere near that number.

Most of those who died from Coronavirus had chronic health issues to begin with.

They are the same people who would have died from the Seasonal Flu.

More in the document: "The pandemic also had a deadly effect on economies: international mobility of both people and goods screeched to a halt, debilitating industries like tourism and breaking global supply chains. Even locally, normally bustling shops and office buildings sat empty for months, devoid of both employees and customers."

Without Government Intervention Virus Spreads.

The pandemic blanketed the planet—though disproportionate numbers died in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central America, where the virus spread like wildfire in the absence of official containment protocols.

Translation: In the absence of an authoritarian government, the virus was able to spread.

By definition, the Rockefeller Foundation is embracing and promoting authoritarian government.

In their scenario, they are seeking to remove the rights of the people in order to prevent the virus from spreading.

In their mind, during a Pandemic or other similar event, the government must overturn the law and become authoritarian.

In developed countries, containment was a challenge.

The United States’s initial policy of "strongly discouraging" citizens from flying proved deadly in its leniency, accelerating the spread of the virus not just within the U.S. but across borders.

In the mind of the Rockefeller Foundation, our Constitution amounts to "leniency".

Therefore, our Constitution should have been suspended, and replaced with authoritarian government in order to contain the spread of the future virus.

This is a clear violation of our basic God-given rights. (remember, this was written in 2010).

"However, a few countries did fare better—China in particular. The Chinese government’s quick imposition and enforcement of mandatory quarantine for all citizens, as well as its instant and near-hermetic sealing off of all borders, saved millions of lives, stopping the spread of the virus far earlier than in other countries and enabling a swifter post- pandemic recovery."

The globalist Rockefeller Foundation praises Communist China for their authoritarian actions, remember, this was a future scenario, not reality.

However, this is exactly what happened in China

They were indeed the first to lock down their nation, and the rest of the world followed suit.

By definition, the Rockefeller Foundation explains Communism, which is authoritarianism protecting the people.

Of course, this is always how globalists spin their propaganda, "it's for the good of the people".

In reality, our freedoms are removed for the good of global government, not for the people.

From the 2010 document: "During the pandemic, national leaders around the world flexed their authority and imposed airtight rules and restrictions, from the mandatory wearing of face masks to body-temperature checks at the entries to communal spaces like train stations and supermarkets." (ummmm, sound familiar?)

If it is hard for you to differentiate this future scenario from reality, you are not alone.

Their future scenario is our reality, just look at what is happening right now.

"Even after the pandemic faded, this more authoritarian control and oversight of citizens and their activities stuck and even intensified."

Not only will these authoritarian controls remain according to the Rockefeller Foundation, but they will intensify.

That means our freedom and rights will continue to be removed, not just in the United States, but globally.

Have you heard of "The Great Reset"?

"In order to protect themselves from the spread of increasingly global problems—from pandemics and transnational terrorism to environmental crises and rising poverty—leaders around the world took a firmer grip on power."

Just a snippet of info about the Rockefellers:

The Rockefeller family has been in the forefront of eugenics-the science of population control, since 1902.

In 1952, David Rockefeller’s eldest brother John established the Population Council

In the subsequent decades, the eugenics program developed, tested, and implemented various bio-warfare tools, as a means of controlling population growth.

Since then, efforts at creating the necessary infrastructure, research bodies, lab testing and experimentations, have proceeded till the present day.

By the end of 1945, the dominant force in America was the 5 Rockefeller brothers

Their mandate was to take control of the entire globe, and to eliminate any rivals on its quest for global dominance.

Even Adolf Hitler’s extermination policies against Jews and other minorities, was funded by the Rockefeller family.

Starting in the late 1960s and early 1970s, the first fruits of their research yielded the AIDS virus, which devastated many Third World nations

This was followed by more exotic viruses such as SARS, MERS 2000, Ebola, the Avian flu, etc.

 FRENCH
NOBEL PRIZE WINNER
"COVID-19 IS MADE IN LAB"
By
Søren Nielsen
2021

A controversial French Nobel prize-winning scientist has accused biologists of having created SARS-CoV-2 - the virus that causes Covid-19 - in a lab, but the wider scientific community has so far refuted the claim.

Luc Montagnier, who won the Nobel Prize in 2008 for his work on HIV - and who is a very controversial figure in the scientific community - said in an interview this week that "the virus has come out of a laboratory in Wuhan, which has been specialising in these types of coronaviruses since the beginning of the 2000s".

He said: "We have arrived at the conclusion that this virus was created."

He accused "molecular biologists" of having inserted DNA sequences from HIV into a coronavirus, "probably" as part of their work to find a vaccine against AIDS.

He said that it was not clear how the virus had been able to escape the laboratory, and condemned scientists for doing "the work of a sorcerer’s apprentice".

Professor Montagnier has said that he is not the first to suggest the connection, and added that "a group of renowned Indian researchers" had also tried to publish a study showing that the new coronavirus includes HIV DNA, but were forced to retract their claims and had been "smothered".

The Indian study said that there was "a strange similarity" between the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and VIH-1 - the main cause of HIV - "which is unlikely to be coincidental".

But an article in Le Monde newspaper found that this alleged Indian study had been "pre-published", before it had been read by academic peers a necessary step for any academic paper before it is published in a recognised journal.

After its "pre-publication", the article was widely criticised by the scientific community, with many saying that such similarities were "banal", and very common among similar viruses.

Following intense criticism, the study was later taken down.

The site that pre-published the study, BioRxiv, said that its publications were not peer-reviewed, and that "they should not be considered as conclusions, health advice, clinical guidelines, or to be used by the press as definite information".

The similarity between Covid-19 and HIV has also been noted by Peng Zhiyong, director of intensive care at the Zhongnan university hospital in Wuhan

In an interview with official Chinese media site Global Times, he said: "The influence of Covid-19 on the body is like a combination of SARS and AIDS."

The doctor was referring to symptoms of the virus - including its effect on the lungs and immune system - and did not explicitly say that the viruses themselves were in any way similar.

Claims "make no sense"

Professor Montagnier’s claims that the virus was created in a laboratory do not align with the current consensus of the wider scientific community.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has denied any suggestions that the virus was "made in a laboratory".

Currently, it is widely thought that the new coronavirus appeared from a wet market in Wuhan, in China, where many exotic animals are sold.

Étienne Simon-Lorière, virologist at medical research centre l’Institut Pasteur in Paris, told the Agence France-Presse that the theory that the new coronavirus is specifically and deliberately linked to HIV "makes sense".

He said: "These DNA sequences are tiny elements that we find in other viruses of the same family; other coronaviruses in the wild. They are pieces of DNA that actually resemble many DNA sequences in many bacteria, viruses, and plants".

"If we take a word from one book, and see that this word resembles one from another book, can we say that one has copied the other? It’s absurd."

However, the similarities between Covid-19 and HIV - whatever their source - have been used as a basis of some research attempting to find a cure for the virus.

In Spain, one patient was cured of Covid-19 after having received treatment based on lopinavir and ritonavir, two medicines more often used to treat HIV and hepatitis C.

Santiago Moreno, head of infectious diseases at the Ramon y Cajal hospital in Madrid, said:

"The protease enzyme of SARS-CoV-2 is very similar to that of HIV. This enzyme is fundamental for the virus to be able to replicate itself...The results we have so far with the coronavirus are encouraging."

But there was no suggestion from Dr Moreno that this similarity was due to intentional manipulation of the virus.

Conspiracy theories?

Yet, there is no shortage of conspiracy theories circulating about the claim.

A study by polling agency Ifop - published at the end of March - found that more than 26% of French people believe that the new coronavirus "was intentionally made in a laboratory"; a figure that jumps to 40% among voters of far-right party le Rassemblement National.

A number of right-wing and extreme-far-right figures in France have made reference to Professor Montagnier’s claims - notably on Twitter - with some linking the theory to what they see as a "lack of transparency" from China about the virus.

Controversial claims.

Professor Montagnier is well-known for his radical, and often controversial, views within the scientific community.

One molecular biologist at the national research centre Le Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Alexis Verger, last week tweeted a "reminder" that the professor is known for being anti-vaccinations, pro-homeopathy, and believes that "water has memory".

He has also been known to attempt to "regenerate DNA sequences from pure water and digitized electromagnetic signals and send them by email", said Dr Verger.

Professor Montagnier caused controversy in the scientific community when, one year after winning the Nobel prize, he claimed that "a good immune system" was enough to protect people against AIDS.

He has also come out in support of the idea that water has memory, a theory defended in 1988 by the late French immunologist Jacques Benveniste, which has since been discredited by the scientific community.

He was also the subject of a public outcry in 2017, when he came out against the French government’s decision to make certain vaccinations mandatory, accusing the policy of "poisoning the next generation little by little".

In response, 106 academic scientists wrote an open letter "calling the professor to order".

The letter read: "We, academics of medicine, cannot accept that one of our peers is using his Nobel prize status to spread dangerous health messages outside of his field of knowledge."

 PROFESSOR DECLARES
THAT U.S. WAS DEFEATED IN
"BIOLOGICAL WAR"
WITH CHINA
By
Søren Nielsen
2021

A professor with close ties to the Communist Chinese Government has declared that his country "defeated" the U.S. in 2020, winning a biological war, and putting America "back in it’s place".

The comments were made by Chen Ping, a Senior Researcher at The China Institute of Fudan University, a CCP affiliated think tank, and a professor at Peking University.

"The Western model has failed, the 500-year maritime civilization is doomed, the CCP has won and will lead the way of the modernization in the new era after the biology revolution after the 2020 CCPVirus (COVID19) pandemic."

Ping states that "In 2020, China won the trade war, science and technology war, and especially the biological war."

"The achievement is unprecedented. This is an epoch-making historical record," he continues, adding "So for the liberal, America-worshiping cult within China, their worship of the U.S. is actually unfounded."

"After this trade war and biological warfare, the U.S. was beaten back to its original shape," Ping emphasised.

Chen Ping also commented on the 2020 U.S. election, noting "I think Trump’s attempt to restore the declining international status of the U.S. during his 4 years has failed. This failure is not only the failure of Trump’s personal campaign for re-election as president, but also the failure of the neo-liberalism-led globalization of the past four decades led by the U.S. and the UK."

"Therefore, the development and modernization model of the U.S. and Europe is not worthy of China’s imitation and repetition," Ping added.

China Inches Closer To World Domination.

China’s economy has expanded by 18.3% in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period last year, marking the biggest increase since China started keeping quarterly records in 1992.

The country has undoubtedly been able to rebound quickly by getting ahead of the pandemic in late 2019, stalling and obscuring the facts of what was unfolding while a criminally compliant World Health Organisation parroted CCP talking points to the rest of the world.

With Trump out of office, America is now at the mercy of the Communist state, with Joe Biden having a long track record of selling out American industry to Chinese investors.

As we recently reported, a group of the world’s leading scientists have urged more investigation into the possibility that the coronavirus pandemic was caused by a leak from Wuhan’s Institute of Virology, saying that the World Health Organisation has dismissed the notion without proper consideration.

Meanwhile, GOP representatives on the House Intelligence Committee have demanded an update from the White House and the Director of National Intelligence on the possibility that the coronavirus leaked from the lab.

The Republicans, led by Ranking Member Devin Nunes also want access to any intelligence on the "gain of function" research that was undertaken at the Wuhan lab in conjunction with US agencies.

As I reported earlier in the year, top US National Security officials have indicated that they believe the most credible theory on the origin of COVID-19 is that it escaped from the Chinese Wuhan laboratory.

SUGAR
By

2021

You`ve probably heard sugar is bad for you.

But, how bad is it, really?

Let`s start with the addictive nature of sugar... it`s more addictive than cocaine!

In one study, animals were offered a choice between two feeding levers: one loaded with sugar or saccharin and the other with cocaine.

94% of the time, animals chose sugar or saccharin over cocaine!

Researchers predict the same result for humans, concluding the reward delivered fron sugar can surpass cocaine in even cocaine-sensitized and -addicted individuals.

Our ancestral environment didn’t offer high concentrations of sweet taste.

Mother’s milk was sweet, which meant, to our brains, anything with that taste was safe.

This led us to find ways to get more of that taste, a taste we are not adapted to consume endlessly.

Sugar Dangers!

A new study in the British Medical Journal finds a link between sugary drinks and increased risk of cancer.

The study evaluated over 100,000 healthy French adults with an average age of 42

Each were followed for 9 years by taking dietary intake questionnaires, including tracking daily consumption of sugary drinks and 100% fruit juices.

The results show that less than 3.5 ounces of a sugary drink daily increases overall cancer risk by 18% and breast cancer by 22%.

100% fruit juices are also positively associated with risk of overall cancer.

There was no increased risk found in prostate and colorectal cancer, but this may be due to a higher percentage of women (79%) than men (21%) in the study.

Artificially sweetened beverages did not show an increased risk of cancer, but researchers warn this may be because a very small number of participants consumed diet drinks.

The relationship between a diet rich in refined carbohydrates and sugary foods and drinks has been repeatedly linked to weight gain, insulin resistance (leading to increased risk of obesity), type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and Alzheimer’s.

The Sugar Conspiracy.

Sadly, the sugar industry has hidden these facts from the public for decades.

In 1967, the Sugar Research Foundation (known today as the Sugar Association) paid Harvard scientists the equivalent of $50,000 to publish a manipulated review of research on sugar, fat, and their connection to heart disease.

The review was published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine, where studies were cherry-picked to downplay the role of sugar in heart disease . . . while pointing the finger at saturated fats.

Blood Sugar: Heart Disease, Dementia + More.

Heart disease, for example, is responsible for 1 in 6 deaths in the US, the leading cause of early mortality in America

One study shows that 73% of patients presenting acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) have abnormal blood sugar regulation and 50% have diabetes.

To increase risk of heart disease, blood sugar levels do not have to get that high—prediabetic levels will increase heart health risks.

In non-diabetics, for example, a 2-hour blood glucose at 96 mg/dL or higher was associated with a twofold increased risk of death from heart disease.

One study concludes the impact of refined sugars on insulin provides compelling evidence that overconsuming added sugars (sucrose or high-fructose corn syrup) may lead to increased risk of coronary heart disease.

A diet of refined foods and sugars increases risk of sugar or glucose molecule glycation (sticking to a protein molecule).

Glycation has been linked to a host of degenerative and inflammatory health concerns—most notably, age-related cognitive decline, such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Top 4 Healthy Blood Sugar Strategies.

1 : Exercise daily, combining resistance and aerobic activity.

2 : Avoid processed and refined food. Eat whole, seasonal foods.

3 : Increase consumption of fresh organic vegetables and reduce meat and animal proteins to 10-15% of your diet.

4 : Get 7-9 hours of sleep.

A History of Sugar.

Our blood sugar epidemic’s beginnings reach back 10,000 years to New Guinea, where sugar cane was first domesticated.

Chewing on a stalk of sugar cane quickly became known as a "panacea" or "cure-all" for any mood or ailment.

By 1000 B.C.E., sugar cane reached the Asian mainland, and by 500 B.C.E., Indian alchemists figured out how to make the white powder version: the new secret recipe and medicinal cure-all that changed the world.

Even today, Americans consume 22 teaspoons of sugar per day.

Soon, sugar made its way to the Middle East and then Europe, still being touted as a cure-all 1,000 years later.

Demand for sugar rivaled gold.

So rare was access to granulated sugar that it was consumed only by the wealthy.

Don’t forget, sugar triggers dopamine receptors in the brain.

Dopamine is the gotta-have-it-now hormone.

Soon, the developing world had to have it.

With the Ottoman Empire in full force in 1400 C.E

Europeans had to find new tropical territories to grow sugar cane. Many expeditions were commissioned to find suitable land to grow the white powder plant.

Columbus took sugar cane plants to the Caribbean on his second trip to the New World.

Soon, island after island was converted into sugar fields, with natives doing all the labor.

When the natives died, they were replaced with African slaves

More than 11 million Africans were shipped to the New World as slaves, where millions died, primarily in the name of sugar.

By the 1700s, sugar was not a luxury spice anymore.

It had become a staple in high demand worldwide.

One island after another was depleted of its water table reserves and when the crops dried up, a new island was terrorized with sugar cane and slave traders.

Europeans consumed greater and greater quantities of sugar.

In 1700, the average Englishman consumed four pounds of sugar per year.

In 1800, 18 pounds a year.

In 1870, 47 pounds a year.

By 1900, the average Englishman was consuming 100 pounds per year—more than today’s average American by 23 pounds.

For centuries, the world’s sweet tooth was satisfied on the backs of African slaves and native people.

Sugar Today.

Today, the average American consumes 22.7 teaspoons of sugar each day:

6 tsp. of white granulated sugar
2 tsp. of high-fructose corn syrup
3 tsp. of other sugars (honey, molasses, maple syrup).

While you might find it hard to believe we could consume so much sugar, it is well hidden in processed foods, breads, fruit juices, and healthy snacks.

In 1980, 5.5 million Americans had diabetes.

By 2015, that number was up to 23 million!

Interestingly, fat makes up a significantly smaller percentage of the American diet than it did 20 years ago, although the low-carb and ketogenic movements are helping bring good fats back into our diet.

Even so, the intake of sugar has steadily risen and America has gotten fatter and fatter.

While sugar is our new poison, linked to numerous chronic health issues, processed sugar is even worse.

Americans consume more than half the world’s supply of high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), a processed sugar linked to weight gain, cardiovascular issues, and cognitive issues now known as type 3 diabetes.

Sucrose vs Fructose.

Research on the woes of HFCS has lead scientists to understand more about the difference between sucrose and fructose.

Sucrose, or white table sugar, contains glucose, which the body, muscles, and brain can readily use.

Fructose has a different story and needs to be understood.

Some 22 million years ago, apes in Africa lived on fruits picked right off trees.

Around 17 million years ago, the earth cooled and the ice caps grew larger, leaving land bridges where the nomadic apes could migrate north.

As the earth cooled, fruit trees were replaced with deciduous trees, and soon what is now Europe and Asia was filled with starving apes.

At some point, an intelligent genetic mutation occurred that allowed apes to store fructose as fat to endure long winters, rather than burn it quickly as food and energy.

Many of these apes migrated back into Africa, passing the fructose-storing gene to the original African apes and possibly enabling them to forage for new sources of food.

According to scientists, this mutation was so powerful that only apes with the mutation survived to become our ancestors.

Today, we carry this same gene, which has made high-fructose corn syrup our new poison.

PREDICTION
WAR BETWEEN
CHINA AND TAIWAN
WITHIN 10 YEARS
By
Søren Nielsen
2021

China has warned Taiwan that any attempt to seek independence "means war".

The warning comes days after China stepped up its military activities and flew warplanes near the island.

It also comes after new US President Joe Biden reaffirmed his commitment to Taiwan, and set out his stance in Asia.

The US has called China's latest warning "unfortunate", adding that tensions did not need to lead to "anything like confrontation".

China sees democratic Taiwan as a breakaway province, but Taiwan sees itself as a sovereign state, with its own constitution, military, and elected leaders.

Analysts say Beijing is becoming increasingly concerned that Taiwan's government is moving the island towards a formal declaration of independence and it wants to warn President Tsai Ing-wen against taking steps in that direction.

President Tsai, however, has repeatedly said that Taiwan is already an independent state, making any formal declaration unnecessary.

On Thursday, Chinese defence ministry spokesman Wu Qian defended the recent military activities near Taiwan, saying they were "necessary actions to address the current security situation in the Taiwan Strait and to safeguard national sovereignty and security".

"They are a solemn response to external interference and provocations by 'Taiwan independence' forces," he added.

"We warn those 'Taiwan independence' elements - those who play with fire will burn themselves, and Taiwan independence means war."

China and Taiwan: The basics.

1China and Taiwan have had separate governments since the end of the Chinese civil war in 1949. Beijing has long tried to limit Taiwan's international activities and both have vied for influence in the Pacific region.

2 : Tensions have increased in recent years and Beijing has not ruled out the use of force to take the island back.

3 : Although Taiwan is officially recognised by only a handful of nations, its democratically elected government has strong commercial and informal links with many countries.

4 : Like most nations, the US has no official diplomatic ties with Taiwan, but a US law does require it to provide the island with the means to defend itself.

The US responded later on Thursday.

"We find that comment unfortunate," Pentagon press secretary John Kirby told reporters, in the first statement by the new administration on China-Taiwan relations.

Mr Kirby added that the Pentagon "sees no reason why tensions over Taiwan need to lead to anything like confrontation".

The new US administration is expected to maintain pressure on China over a wide range of issues including human rights, trade disputes, Hong Kong and Taiwan, amid the deteriorating relationship between the two powers.

Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council, meanwhile, said China should "not underestimate" the island's determination to defend its sovereignty and uphold freedom and democracy.

Blunt threat should be taken seriously.

China's official spokespeople try not to talk about war. They almost always emphasise that theirs is a peace-loving country.

China is not a nation with a history of expeditionary military confrontation far beyond what it regards as its borders.

However, under Xi Jinping's leadership, China has repeatedly said that it would use military force to prevent any move towards formal independence by Taiwan, which it regards as a renegade province.

Threatening a war isn't as nuanced as talk of military intervention. It's blunt, more frightening. It is different too. Military intervention could come in a multitude of ways; not necessarily an out-and-out war between two competing sides and their allies.

But Taiwan's status is a red line for Beijing, a part of what it regards as its unimpeachable territorial integrity.

An "internal affair", alongside Hong Kong.

The language deployed by the government spokespeople may not always be this provocative but when it comes to Taiwan it's fair to assume this is what China is, ultimately, willing to resort to.

In January 2020 Taiwan's president Tsai Ing-wen told the BBC that China needed to respect the will of Taiwanese people.

"We don't have a need to declare ourselves an independent state," she said.

What's China's plan for its 'Great Wall of Sand'?

The South China Sea, home to vital shipping lanes, has been a flashpoint for years, with several countries claiming ownership of its small islands and reefs and with it, access to resources.

In recent years, China has been increasingly assertive over what it claims are its centuries-old claims to the contested region, and has been rapidly building up its military presence to back up those claims.

Former Commander of US Pacific Command, Admiral Harry Harris once referred to this as the "Great Wall of Sand" - a "nine-dash line" creating a protective ring and supply network around Chinese territory at sea, as the wall did on land.

But while China and the US have traded increasingly barbed comments over the South China Sea, broadly speaking, they had managed such differences.

Despite their trade conflict, the US had avoided taking sides in China's territorial disputes with other countries - other than to demand freedom of movement for its vessels.

Military tensions at a worrying time.

In early April, a Chinese Coast Guard vessel rammed and sank a Vietnamese fishing vessel close to the Paracel Islands, which China and Vietnam claim as theirs.

Then, a Malaysian oil exploration project also found its operations disrupted off the coast of Borneo by a Chinese marine survey vessel, the Haiyang Dizhi 8, backed by China's Navy and Coast Guard.

Consequently, the USS America, a US Navy amphibious assault ship, joined by an Australian frigate, was deployed to waters nearby.

The escalation continued with the deployment of two US Navy guided missile destroyers, USS Bunker Hill and USS Barry to the Paracel and Spratly Islands (known as the Xisha and Nansha in Chinese) respectively.

The warships conducted Freedom of Navigation Operations (FONOPs) aimed at challenging what the US views as a pattern of China's unlawful claims in international waters.

Most recently, China closed off a swathe of sea space to conduct naval exercises in the waters surrounding the Paracel Islands

The US angrily said this violated Chinese commitments to avoid activities exacerbating disputes.

Meanwhile, the US Navy deployed not one but two aircraft carrier strike groups - the USS Nimitz and USS Ronald Reagan - for joint operations in the region.

In addition to the US Navy fighters conducting carrier operations and the P8-Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft criss-crossing the sea, the US Air Force sent a B-52 strategic bomber for good measure.

China's state media reacted with predictable vitriol.

The US Navy's surge into the South China Sea increases the risk of an incident between the two rival powers and a rapid escalation in hostility.

The situation is particularly dangerous in light of a recent pattern of increasing assertiveness by China over its "core concerns".

Its recent use of lethal force on its disputed border with India, and the imposition of the National Security Law on Hong Kong, have prompted many to ask how restrained China is likely to be in its response to these challenges.

What is China's South China Sea goal?

Beijing views the South China Sea as a crucial part of its maritime territory, not only serving as a bastion for its seaborne nuclear deterrent based on Hainan island but also as a gateway for the Maritime Silk Road, part of China's Belt and Road Initiative.

The South China Sea is critical, for example, for the future success of China's Greater Bay Area economic development plan, into which Hong Kong is incorporated.

China's plan for populating the South China Sea was launched in 2012 when "Sansha City", the administrative centre for all Chinese-claimed features in the South China Sea on Woody Island in the Paracels, was upgraded from county to prefecture-level status.

The government re-settled the small fishing community there into modern dwellings, built a primary school, a bank and a hospital and installed mobile communications.

Tourists have been visiting on regularly scheduled cruises to the islands.

The second phase of the plan was initiated in April this year, when China created two further county level administrative districts subordinate to Sansha City, including the establishment of Nansha District People's government, headquartered on Fiery Cross Reef and administering all the Chinese claimed features of the Spratly Islands.

In the 6 years since China began reclamation of several reefs and atolls in the Spratlys, satellite and air surveillance has revealed one of the world's greatest feats in maritime engineering and military construction.

In addition to the military facilities on the islands - including 3,000m runways, naval berths, hangars, reinforced ammunition bunkers, missile silos and radar sites - images show neatly arranged accommodation blocks, administrative buildings roofed with blue ceramic tiles, hospitals, and even sports complexes on the reclaimed islands, which have become visibly greener.

Subi reef is now home to a farm - including a six-acre fruit and vegetable plot pollinated by bees imported from the mainland, a herd of pigs, flocks of poultry and fish ponds.

Meanwhile, the China Academy of Sciences established an Oceanographic Research Centre on Mischief Reef in January 2019.

China's top hydrologists have announced that the water table on Fiery Cross - once little more than a rock in the sea - has been expanding rapidly and will allow water self-sufficiency within 15 years.

The residents of the island already enjoy 5G mobile data access and availability of fresh fruit and vegetables shipped in refrigerated containers.

Imagery also shows large fishing fleets moored in the larger lagoons on Subi and Mischief reef.

Perhaps before too long, fishing families could be permanently housed on China's southernmost islands, their children schooled alongside those of party and government officials.

An 'irreversibly' Chinese waterway?

The most symbolic evidence of China's push into the South China Sea is quite literally set in stone - transplanted from mainland China.

In April 2018, 200-tonne commemorative megaliths, erected on each of the three biggest island bases in the Spratly Islands were unveiled amid some secrecy.

Quarried from Taishan stone and shipped to the Spratly islands, the monuments resonate with President Xi Jinping's China Dream of national rejuvenation.

Mount Taishan is viewed as the most sacred of China's mountains, a symbol of unbroken Chinese civilisation for thousands of years.

All of this shows China has moved into a second phase of a calculated plan to make this great strategic waterway of South East Asia an irreversibly Chinese one.

The recent US Navy exercises in the South China Sea were aimed at demonstrating US resolve to protect the "freedom of the seas": for the US Navy to operate in and ultimately protect the seaspace across these international waters.

Alongside the US Naval manoeuvres, Mr Pompeo's announcement formally stating that China's claims across the region are "completely unlawful" begs the question of what the US is prepared to do next.

At a minimum, Mr Pompeo wants to build a diplomatic coalition to demonstrate China's self-isolation, not just with some of the other claimants but also along with bigger powers.

The US could very rapidly reduce China's new Nansha district to concrete and coral rubble - but this would entail a war for which neither the US nor China has an appetite.
